1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 4:03 p.m.

3. DISCUSSION ITEMS
3.A. 22-374 Crosstown Class IV Corridor Project Updates
Carrie Modi, Transportation Practice Lead from Fehr & Peers delivered a presentation on Crosstown Class IV Corridor study.
COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:
-Mayor Cutter recommended including bikeway designs near schools to include designated entrance and exit areas, to get around pedestrian traffic.

3.B. 22-375 EBCE Critical Municipal Facilities Program
Feliz Ventura, Resilience Program Manager for East Bay Community Energy delivered a presentation on the Critical Municipal Facilities Program.
COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:
-Mayor Cutter would like the possible participating buildings to be presented on a map. Additionally, she wants to coordinate a joint school district meeting to discuss this program, and participation of school district buildings that are used for emergencies (i.e., shelter-in-place buildings, etc.). She’d also like to discuss the inclusion of church buildings that are used for warming shelters.

3.C. 22-376 Staff Project Updates
Nick Thom and Austine Osakwe delivered a presentation on project updates.
COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:
-Councilmember Cox wants Austine Osakwe to inquire if the Pedestrian Scramble system can be turned off during the summer months, when pedestrian traffic isn’t high, for the E. 14th St. (SR 185) / Joaquin Ave Traffic Signal Improvements project.

3.D. 22-377 Future Agenda Items
Sheila Marquises discussed future agenda items.
COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:
-Mayor Cutter wants Sheila Marquises to discuss opening the freeway Express Lanes to a San Leandro exit, to avoid having drivers cross over lines illegally to exit to San Leandro, when moving forward with Integrated Corridor Management systems.
-Councilmember Azevedo wants to discuss solutions to deter doughnut drivers, including Botts Dots.
-Councilmember Cox wants Sheila Marquises to get CHP’s feedback on the Express Lane accidents and issues with having fast lanes across the freeway along San Leandro.
