SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that the City Council approve a Non-Professional Services Agreement (NPSA) with Bay Area Tree Specialists for High Maintenance Tree Trimming for the maximum amount of compensation of $54,329.
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
On April 26, 2022, the Finance Department issued Bid No. 21-22.015 for High Maintenance Tree trimming services. Tree species, quantity, location, and work requested are identified in the Non-Professional Services Agreement Exhibit A, Scope of Services. Seven firms submitted bids on or before the submittal deadline. Bay Area Tree Specialists submitted the lowest bid for a price of $449.00 per tree, with a total contract amount of $54,329 to trim 121 trees. The bid price includes all labor, materials, disposal, transportation, and equipment/staffing necessary to perform the work. Bay Area Tree Specialists agrees to the terms of the Non-Professional Services Agreement and will sign the contract upon Council approval.
Financial Impacts
This General Fund project will cost a not-to-exceed amount of $54,329. The work was planned and budgeted in FY 2021-2022 and was moved to FY 2022-2023. The project requires a re-appropriation of $54,329 from the FY 2021-2022 to the FY 2022-2023 budget from Account 010-33-001-5340.
