CITY COUNCIL FACILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE

December 1, 2021

4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

 

San Leandro City Council’s Facilities and Transportation Committee conducted this meeting in accordance with the State Emergency Services Act, the Governor’s Emergency Declaration related to COVID-19, and the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 issued on March 17, 2020.

1.     CALL TO ORDER

 

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.

3.A.                     21-677                      Discussion on LINKS SShuttle-Related Issues

 

Mike Oliver delivered a presentation regarding issues related to the LINKS Shuttle Program in the City.

 

COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:

-Mayor Cutter asked Mike Oliver to work with City staff to investigate the possibility of partnership with AC Transit to subsidize funding for the program to avoid service cuts

3.B.                      21-678                      Staff Updates on Land Use Projects 

 

Sheila Marquises, Thomas Liao, and Kurry Foley delivered a presentation on the plans, schedules, and budgets of active land use projects including Bayfair, Shoreline Development, and AC Transit Bus Shelters.

3.C.                     21-679                     Staff Update on Development Projects

 

Nick Thom delivered a presentation on the plans, schedules, and budgets of project development projects.

 

COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:

-Mayor Cutter requested that City staff set up meetings with outside agencies as soon as possible with regards to the roundabout project, enough time has been spent being idle.
-Councilmember Cox asked City staff to provide more details regarding the particulars of the roundabout project to be run by Caltrans personnel during her day job at the State Assembly.

3.D.                     21-680                     Discussion Regarding Future Agenda Items

 

Keith Cooke provided committee members a list of possible future agenda items for discussion and prioritization.

 

COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF:

-The Committee Members agreed to cancel the January meeting due to it being scheduled one day after City staff return from the holiday closure.
