SUMMARY

This contract will facilitate the installation of small stormwater trash capture devices. Seven bids were received, the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $269,300 was submitted by Ape?a Engineering, Incorporated. In addition, $1,000,000 in EPA Community Grant funding will be accepted and appropriated for this project.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommend the following:
* Award a construction contract to Ape?a Engineering Incorporated in the amount of $269,300;
* Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and approve individual change orders up to 10% (or $26,930) of the original contract amount;
* Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and approve change orders up to a cumulative value of 25% (or $67,325) of the original contract amount;
* Accept and Appropriate EPA Community Grant in the amount of $1,000,000 in reimbursable funding; and
* Authorize the City Manager to execute all related grant documents
