RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Agreements with the California Department of Transportation for the San Leandro Creek Trail Master Plan (enables the City to accept a $201,510 Caltrans Partnership Planning for Sustainable Transportation grant for the development of a San Leandro Creek Trail Master Plan, and make a $10,000 funding match)
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro is eligible to receive
Federal and/or State funding for certain transportation planning related projects, through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans); and
 
WHEREAS, a Fund Transfer Agreement must be executed with the California Department of Transportation before such funds can be claimed through the Caltrans Transportation Planning Grant Programs; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro wishes to delegate to the City Manager authorization to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto; and
 
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro will provide matching funds in the amount of $10,000, appropriated from FY 14-15 City Manager's Contingency Fund 010-14-015 and appropriate $201,510 from FY 14-15 account 150-41-211 to use the grant from the State.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
 
1.      That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all Fund Transfer Agreements and any amendments thereto with the California Department of Transportation; and
 
2.      That said matching funds in an amount not to exceed $10,000 is hereby approved and expenditure of $201,510 State grant funds is also approved.
