Resolution to Approve Consulting Services Agreements with DKS Associates, Fehr & Peers, and W-Trans, for On-Call Transportation Engineering Consulting Services in an Amount Not-to-Exceed $100,000 Within Each 12-Month Period For Three Years with Each Firm

Body
WHEREAS, the Transportation Engineering Division of the Engineering and Transportation Department evaluates, plans, designs, procures, integrates, and implements traffic control and calming devices; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and public parking facilities to meet the multi-modal transportation needs within the City of San Leandro; and

WHEREAS, the Transportation Engineering Division seeks to provide timely and efficient services to residents, developers, and the Project Development Division of the Engineering & Transportation Department; and

WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking transportation engineering consulting firms that can assist with transportation and traffic engineering projects as needed; and

WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from seven consultants, staff recommends that DKS Associates, Fehr & Peers, and W-Trans should be individually retained to provide on-call consulting services in amounts not-to-exceed $100,000 each within 12-month periods for three consecutive years; and

WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter Consulting Services Agreements between the City and each of the recommended for selection consulting firms, copies of which are attached and presented to this City Council; and

WHEREAS, a blanket purchase order will be requested for each individual consulting firm as tasks are assigned. Consultant costs will be charged to specific projects, each with a designated appropriation; and

WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreements; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreeme...
