SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends approval of the revisions to the City's Non-Represented Part-Time Classifications Salary Schedule to reflect a salary increase.
DISCUSSION
All classifications on the Part-Time Classifications Salary Schedule are not represented by a bargaining unit or employee group. Non-represented part-time employees are primarily seasonal or temporary staff in the City’s Recreation and Human Services Department and the Library Department.
The City values and appreciates the contributions from the non-represented part-time employees in providing important programs and services enjoyed by the citizens of San Leandro. The City Manager recommends a salary increase of three percent (3%) effective March 1, 2016. This proposed increase is in line with the salary increases approved for employees in the other bargaining groups. This group of employees do not receive benefits and has not received a salary increase since 2008.
Fiscal Impacts
The financial impact is approximately $21,300 in FY 2015-16 and $43,300 in FY 2016-17.
