SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommend that the City Council adopt the Resolution to approve Amendment No. 1 to the City Manager’s employment agreement between the City of San Leandro and Janelle Cameron, as presented.
BACKGROUND
On July 1, 2024, the City Council approved an Employment Agreement with Janelle Cameron providing the terms and conditions of her employment as the City Manager. The Agreement was for a period of three (3) years.
Analysis
In September of 2026, the City Council completed its evaluation of the City Manager’s performance and determined, based on a positive performance review, to amend the City Manager’s Employment Agreement. The proposed Amendment No. 1 to the City Manager’s Employment Agreement makes the following change:
• Extend the term through June 30, 2030
Previous Actions
Resolution No. 2024-082 approving an employment agreement with Janelle Cameron to serve as City Manager.
Financial Impacts
This Council action will not impact fund balance.
