RESOLUTION Declaring as Surplus Nine (9) Vehicles and Authorizing the Sale Thereof At Public Auction (authorizes the sale of six vehicles, two motorcycles, and one tractor loader that have reached the end of their useful lives)

WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City's Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City purposes; and
WHEREAS, nine (9) vehicles have been identified as no longer useful to City operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and
WHEREAS, the local school district has expressed no interest in obtaining any of the vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of nine (9) vehicles at public auction scheduled Saturday, December 14th, 2013 is hereby noted.
