SUMMARY

 

On March 3, 2025, the City Council voted 7-0 to introduce for First Reading an ordinance to approve and renew the Military Equipment, Funding, Acquisition and Use Policy (Policy) as stated in Municipal Code Chapter 4-42 in compliance with Assembly Bill 481.

A second reading is required to adopt Ordinance No. 2025-001, which would become effective 30 days after its adoption; if the Council adopts the ordinance, it would go into effect May 6, 2025.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS

 

Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the second reading of Ordinance No. 2025-001 to renew the Policy.
