Title
Election of Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) Chair and Vice Chair - Action Item
Staffreport
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee members elect a BPAC Char and Vice-Chair.
BACKGROUND
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is set up to provide input to the City on a comprehensive master plan for bicycle and pedestrian facilities that provide complementary amenities and healthful transportation choices to the citizens of San Leandro. BPAC meetings are held on an as-needed basis. The BPAC has typically met once or twice a year since the completion of the last Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Staff is planning the update to the current Plan and anticipates having four to six meetings over the next year and a half. The BPAC is a Brown Act body, so the general public is encouraged to attend and provide comments at BPAC meetings to give input and feedback on the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian related projects. The BPAC members will be asked to nominate and vote for a chair and vice chair for confirmation during the meeting.
