SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Consistent with the unanimous recommendation of the City Council Facilities Committee, staff presents for the City Council’s consideration the attached resolution. If adopted, it would document the City Council’s opposition to the East Bay Municipal Utility District's (EBMUD) "Quarry Site Restoration Project", which would result in substantial negative impacts to the residents of the City of San Leandro. The resolution would further authorize the City Manager or their staff designee to proceed with any and all subsequent actions necessary to communicate and/or advance any steps necessary to support and execute the City Council’s opposition to the project.
