Title: RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with the California Energy Commission (CEC) to Construct a 1 Mega Watt Solar Array Project with Associated Energy Efficiency Upgrades at the Water Pollution Control Plant; and to Authorize the City Manager to Amend the Installation Agreement and the Measurement and Verification Agreement with Climatec, LLC for Energy and Water Savings Projects with Related Improvements to City Facilities, to include the Solar Installation. The Agreement with the CEC Includes $1,995,963 in Reimbursable Grant Funds, with a City Match of $1,922,905 (from the WPCP Enterprise Fund).

RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with the California Energy Commission (CEC) to Construct a 1 Mega Watt Solar Array Project with Associated Energy Efficiency Upgrades at the Water Pollution Control Plant; and to Authorize the City Manager to Amend the Installation Agreement and the Measurement and Verification Agreement with Climatec, LLC for Energy and Water Savings Projects with Related Improvements to City Facilities, to include the Solar Installation. Body

WHEREAS, a draft grant agreement between the City of San Leandro and the California Energy Commission was presented to this City Council; and

 

WHEREAS, a draft Contract Amendment 1 between the City of San Leandro and Climatec LLC was presented to this City Council; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said grant agreement and said Contract Amendment 1.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

 

1.                     That said grant agreement and said Contract Amendment 1 substantially in the form presented are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and

 

2.                     That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said grant agreement and said Contract Amendment 1, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and

 

3.                     That an original executed grant agreement and Contract Amendment 1 shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution; and

 

4. That an adjustment to the FY 2017-18 Budget is authorized to provide $3,918,868 from the Water Pollution Control Plant’s Enterprise Fund balance to finance this project.
