SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 6 to a Non-Professional Services Agreement with Del Conte's Landscaping, Inc. to provide monthly median maintenance and weed abatement services in City right-of ways.

BACKGROUND

On August 31, 2015, the Public Works Department issued Request for Proposals (RFP) 55026 for Citywide median maintenance. Four firms submitted proposals deemed responsive to the RFP. The City entered into a contract with Pacheco Brothers Gardening, Inc. on March 1, 2016.

Amendment No. 1 extended the Non-Professional Services Agreement through June 30, 2018 and allowed the City Manager to extend the contract annually for three additional years by contract amendment. The subsequent year, Amendment No. 2 noted that the company name had changed to Del Conte's Landscaping, Inc.
