RESOLUTION Increasing the Construction Contract Change Order Cap from 40% to 41.2% (from $97,054 to $99,960) for the Construction Contract with Southland Construction for the San Leandro Ballpark Locker and Restroom Refurbishment, Project No. 2003.0331 (provides for negotiation and execution of an increased change order cap of 41.2%, or $99,960 from the previous authorized change order cap of 40%, or $97,054; an increase of 1.2%, or $2,906. Change order work will be funded from the WW Grant Funds)

 

Body

                     WHEREAS, on October 20, 2014, by Resolution No. 2014-116, the City of San Leandro awarded a construction contract to Southland Construction for the San Leandro Ball Park Locker/ Restroom Refurbishment project; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro authorized increasing the Change Order cap to 40%; and

 

WHEREAS, the work to complete the project will exceed the increased Change Order Cap; and

 

WHEREAS, the project budget is sufficient to accommodate the increased Change Order cost. 

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

 

That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve change orders up to a total amount of $99,960, which is 41.2% of the original contract amount.
