SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
City staff will present the status of the Shoreline Park Project to the Committee.
BACKGROUND
In 2020, after over a decade of work, the City executed a Disposition and Development Agreement with Cal Coast that specifies the City will deconstruct the Marina, construct a park along the Marina jetties, and construct a new Mulford-Marina branch library. This work will be partially funded by sale of property to the developer for about $29,000,000.
Late in 2020, the City entered into a contract with Griffin Structures, Inc., for project management services and also executed a contract with BKF Engineers for conceptual design of the Shoreline Park project. The scope of work includes public outreach and obtaining approvals from both the City Council and the Bay Conservation and Development Commission.
