RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Non-Professional Services Agreement for a not to Exceed Amount of $637,200 with Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment Installation Incorporated, for Maintaining, Servicing, and Outfitting of Existing Police Vehicles to Match Equipment Presently in Use in the Police Department’s Fleet

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a 10-year replacement schedule; and

 

WHEREAS, the City outfits the replacement vehicles with proper code 3 equipment pursuant to California Vehicle Code specifications; and

 

 

WHEREAS, staff identified and is currently using a service provider that can outfit to police specifications, maintain, and service all Police Department vehicles; and

 

           WHEREAS, staff identified Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment as its service provider: and

 

           WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and

 

           WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

 

That in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 3400(c)(2), a sole source purchase finding is made and justified to match equipment currently in use; and

 

That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
