SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The City of San Leandro was recently awarded $1,852,000 from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s (MTC) Housing Incentive Program (HIP) for the Lewelling Boulevard Class IV Bike Ways Project. As a condition of the grant, MTC requires a Complete Street Checklist for the Project to be reviewed by a local Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission.
The Lewelling Boulevard Class IV Bikeways project will install separated bike lanes and improve uncontrolled pedestrian crossings on Lewelling Boulevard from Washington Avenue to Wicks Boulevard.
