SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Per Agenda Item 13 (Council Requests to Schedule Items), a request from Council Member Lopez was authorized by the City Council at the May 16, 2022 Council Meeting. Based on that request, staff presents for the City Council’s consideration the attached resolution. If adopted, it would document the City Council’s opposition to the recent decision of the United States Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and affirm San Leandro’s support of the rights of pregnant persons in San Leandro and throughout the United States to obtain access to the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare, including abortion care.
