SUMMARY

 

On July 21, the City Council voted 5-0-2 to introduce the First Reading of Ordinance 2025-12 to amend Chapter 7-1 of the Municipal Code to update parkland dedication requirements for residential subdivisions. A second reading is required to adopt the above-referenced ordinance, which would become effective 30 days after adoption.

 

On July 21, the City Council also adopted resolutions to amend the Administrative Code for Park Land Acquisition and Improvement Fees, create a fee waiver program for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and affordable housing developments, and approve the Park Development Impact Fee Study and Parks Capital Improvement Plan.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS

 

Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Ordinance 2025-012 to amend Chapter 7-1 of the Municipal Code to update parkland dedication requirements for residential subdivisions.
