Staff Report for Approving the Addition of One Individual to the Shoreline Advisory Group to the City and Cal-Coast to Assist in Refining the Plans and Studies for the Shoreline Development Project

BACKGROUND
The Shoreline Business Association (SBA), comprised of El Torito, Horatio's, the Marina Inn, the Monarch Bay Golf Course and the Marina, had one representative on the Shoreline Development Citizens Advisory Group (CAC). In 2011, the SBA representative, Kevin Jones manager of Horatio's, discontinued his employment and resigned from the CAC. This position was not filled at the time due to the fact that the CAC was winding down its activities.
RECOMMENDATION
In order to provide the Shoreline Business Association representation on the Shoreline Advisory Group, the addition of Audrey Velasquez, General Manager of the Marina Inn, is recommended.
