RECOMMENDATIONS
Council is requested to review and ratify the draft City Council 2012-13 Goals at the March 5, 2012 City Council meeting.
BACKGROUND
Attached for City Council review and adoption are the draft City Council Goals for FY 2012-13. The goals were discussed and refined at the City Council Winter Retreat on February 25, 2012. The Council Goals are intended to be a guide for the upcoming fiscal year and work plan for the City Manager to execute. Each year the goals are discussed and modified. Departments will have the opportunity to respond to the goals during the next year. In addition, development of the FY 2012-13 budget document will include the goals as well as a listing of accomplishments from the previous fiscal year. The goals are included in the budget to provide overall direction for the City's services and programs. Council is requested to review and ratify the draft goals at the March 5, 2012 City Council meeting.
