For her tireless work and drive to inspire and instill confidence in her students at Bancroft Middle School. Ms. Slaton spearheaded an application for SLED Mini-Grant funds that resulted in bringing school and staff engagement and awareness during Black history month and also brought about important field trip opportunities, bolstered the school's Peer Counseling class with equipment and training, and made sure to acknowledge students who go above and beyond with special recognitions.
