RESOLUTION Approving the City of San Leandro U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Final FY 2015-2019 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and Final FY 2015-2016 Annual Action Plan (authorizes the execution of all related documents by the City Manager and submission of the Plans to HUD)
Body
WHEREAS, through provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act and the National Affordable Housing Act, the federal government has made block grant funding available to local communities for housing and community development activities; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted, by Resolution No. 2010-038 on April 19, 2010, the FY 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan to implement the goals identified in the Acts; and
WHEREAS, a FY 2015-2019 Five-Year Consolidated Plan has been prepared to update the FY 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan and an Annual Action Plan has also been prepared reflecting the activities that the City proposes to fund and implement during FY 2015-2016, copies of which are attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has held two public hearings, solicited public comments for 30 days by publishing a summary of both Plans in the newspaper and by providing both Plans at City Hall in the City Clerk's office, the Community Development Department, the Main Library, and on the City's website; and
WHEREAS, all public comments received, if any, were considered in the contents of both Plans; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends execution and submission of said HUD Five-Year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plans with Certifications as attached.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby resolves that:
1. The attached HUD FY 2015-2019 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and FY 2015-2016 Annual Action Plan, including requisite Certifications, to meet the HUD plan submittal deadline of May 15, 2015 are approved;
