RESOLUTION Declaring as Surplus Twenty-One (21) Vehicles and Three(3) Pieces of Equipment and Authorizing the Sale Thereof at Public Auction

WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City purposes; and
WHEREAS, twenty-one (21) vehicles have been identified as no longer useful to the City operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and
WHEREAS, three (3) pieces of equipment have been identified as no longer useful to the City operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and
WHEREAS, the San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts have expressed no interest in obtaining any of the vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of twenty-one (21) vehicles and three (3) pieces of equipment at public auction by First Capitol Auctions in Vallejo, CA is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 19-20, 2016.
