1. CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 9:01 a.m.

Committee members present: Mayor Pauline Cutter, Councilmember Lee Thomas

City staff present: City Manager, Chris Zapata, Chief of Police, Jeff Tudor, Assistant City Manager Lianne Marshall, City Clerk Tamika Greenwood, City Attorney Rich Pio Roda, Community Relations and Communications Representative, Sbeydeh Walton

Public present: Mike Pretto

1.B. Announcements

City Manager Zapata announced that councilmember Deborah Cox was in Washington DC on city business and would not attend the meeting.

2. DISCUSSION ITEMS

2.A. Mayor's Salary Adjustment

Councilmember Lee Thomas expressed full support for this item. He believes it is a huge benefit to the City and staff to have a full-time Mayor. He also believes it creates a more cohesive environment for workers. The Mayor is following the City Council Handbook criteria of bringing the item to the Rules Committee and ultimately to the full Council. The Mayor is in support of sending it to the full Council.
