RESOLUTION Appropriating $313,388.84 of Water Pollution Control Enterprise Funds Including Approval of an Increase in the Contract Change Order Cap from 40% to 60% ($445,724.00 to $668,586.00, an increase of $222,862.00) to amend the Construction Contract with Con-Quest Contractors, Inc. for the Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement/Repair 2012-13 Project, Project No. 2013.0120

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro did, on April 20, 2015, award a construction contract to Con-Quest Contractors, Inc. for the Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement/Repair 2012-13 Project, Project No. 2013.0120 with the adoption of Resolution 2015-083, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro did on September 8, 2015, authorize a Contract Change Order Cap of 25% for the construction contract with Con-Quest Contractors, Inc, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro, on April 4, 2016, allocated $1,691,510.04 of funding towards the completion of the subject project and increased the Contract Change Order Cap to 40%.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

 

                     That an additional $313,388.84 of Water Pollution Control Enterprise Funds is hereby appropriated towards the completion of the subject project, and

 

                     That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve change orders up to a total amount of $668,586.00, which is 60% of the original contract amount.
