RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Enter the City into a Project Funding Agreement with the Alameda County Transportation Commission for Discretionary funding provided by Measure BB Transportation Sales Tax Revenue (Provides for an Agreement with the Alameda County Transportation Commission for the Grant of $3,000,000 for Street Rehabilitation Work)

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, on November 4, 2014, Alameda County voters approved the 2014 Transportation Expenditure Plan (“Measure BB”), a half-cent transportation sales tax that extends the existing 2000 Measure B transportation sales tax, and augments it by a one-half percent, to fund transportation projects and programs in Alameda County; and

 

WHEREAS, the Alameda County Transportation Commission (“Alameda CTC”) has granted Measure BB discretionary funds to the City of San Leandro for a street rehabilitation project; and

 

WHEREAS, Alameda CTC requires an agreement in order to distribute Measure BB discretionary funds; and

 

WHEREAS, the project agreement between the City of San Leandro and the Alameda CTC is presented to this City Council; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and the City Manager recommends approval of the project agreement. 

 

NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

1.                     That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and

 

2.                     That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and

 

3.                     That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
