RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate and Approve Individual and Cumulative Change Orders Up to 10% ($51,788) of the Original Contract Amount with Century Carpet for the Main Library Carpet Replacement; Project No. 2014.0370

WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did, on November 7, 2016, award a construction contract to Century Carpet for the Main Library Carpet Replacement Project for $517,885; and
WHEREAS, the cost to complete the work will exceed the originally approved contract amount; and
WHEREAS, the project budget is sufficient to accommodate the increased cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and approve individual and cumulative change orders up to 10% ($51,788) of the original contract amount with Century Carpet for the Main Library Carpet Replacement, Project No. 2014.0370.
