RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Administering Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5041F15 and Program Supplement Agreement No. 025-F to Provide $37,655 in Grant Funds for the Design Phase of the Davis Street (State Route 112) and Carpentier Street High-intensity Activated crosswalk (HAWK) Signal Project (provides for $37,655 of federal funding for pedestrian safety improvements at Davis Street and Carpentier Street)

 

Body

WHEREAS, a previous Administering Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5041R for Federal Aid was entered into between the City of San Leandro and the State of California on February 22, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Administering Agency-State Agreement has been updated to incorporate various changes in regulations and policies; and

 

WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a $254,405 Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant and must execute the Administering Agency-State Agreement and the Program Supplement Agreement to receive the funds; and

 

WHEREAS, Administering Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5041F15 and Program Supplement Agreement No. 025-F between the City of San Leandro and the State of California has been presented to this City Council; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

 

1.                     That said Administering Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5041F15 and Program Supplement Agreement No. 025-F substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and

 

2.                     That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and

 

3.                     That the original executed agreements shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
