SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Per Resolution 2017-027, Council approval is required for contract amendments that exceed 10%. This Amendment No. 1, for the amount of $14,430.85, equates to 13.48% of the original Agreement.
ANALYSIS
The cost proposal submitted by GHD for the Decommissioning and Demolition Plan for the San Leandro Marina included two tasks with pricing to be determined after site reconnaissance. These tasks include: Sampling and Analysis (Task 1.3) and Asbestos (ACM) Evaluation (Task 1.4). With their work begun, GHD is now able to provide costs associated with these two tasks. These two tasks are necessary components of the final work product, such that cost estimates for the demolition process can be formulated. In addition, Amendment No. 1 extends the term of the contract from October 1, 2017 to December 1, 2017. All other terms of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

Fiscal Impacts
This Amendment No. 1 will cost $14,430.85, and will be funded by transferring from existing appropriation in Account 210-57-114.
