RESOLUTION Approving the 2017 Council Members’ Handbook
Body
WHEREAS, a City Council Member’s Handbook was created in 1998 to commit to writing the basic standards of Council operations, and to make such information readily available to all, not just through “past practice” or institutional memory; and
WHEREAS, the Council Member’s Handbook was last updated in 2010 and needs updates to reflect institutional changes, and changes to policies and practice; and
WHEREAS, the revised 2017 Council Member’s Handbook, a copy of which is attached, has been reviewed by the City Council Rules Committee, which recommends presentation to and approval by the City Council; and
The City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and
The City Manager recommends its approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE that the 2017 Council Member Handbook is hereby approved.
