Staff Report for Approval of 2018 City Council Meeting Calendar

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that Council discuss and revise, if necessary, and approve the proposed 2018 City Council Meeting Calendar.
BACKGROUND
The City Council Meeting Calendar aids in the scheduling of City Council meetings for the upcoming year. The attached calendar includes the City Council’s regular meetings, work sessions, special meetings and town hall meetings. Time-sensitive and annually-recurring items are tentatively scheduled on the draft calendar. Work session topics have been included for the early months of the year.
Staff recommends that the Council review the draft calendar, propose any desired changes, and approve the 2018 City Council Meeting Calendar by motion.
Amendments to the calendar can be made throughout the year, as needed.
Previous Actions
• On January 3, 2017, the City Council approved the 2017 City Council Meeting Calendar.
