RESOLUTION of the City Council for the City of San Leandro to Approve a Consulting Services Agreement with ConvergeOne for Cisco Next-Generation Firewall Installation (not to exceed $104,000.00), and to Make a Finding for a Sole Source Procurement under California Public Contract Code section 3400

WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and ConvergeOne has been presented to this City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed, on behalf of the City Council of the City of San Leandro, to execute a consulting services agreement on behalf of the City, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with ConvergeOne; and
The City Manager is authorized to make all approvals and take all actions necessary or appropriate to carry out and implement the terms of the consulting services agreement and to administer the City’s obligations, responsibilities and duties to be performed under the agreement; and
That said agreement with ConvergeOne is in an amount not to exceed $104,000.00; and
That the City Council hereby finds that in order to match other products already in use on other City systems, it is necessary to approve a sole source justification for Cisco products and equipment, as recommended by ConvergeOne; and
That the amount of $104,000.00 from the FY2018-19 Operating Budget (Account 688-13-121-7410) is hereby authorized to purchase said agreement.
