SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS

 

Staff will update the Committee on the plans, schedule and budget for the Farrelly Pool Replacement Project. 

 

BACKGROUND

 

Farrelly Pool, located on the Roosevelt Elementary school campus, closed in 2016 because the facility could not meet current health code requirements for water filtration and pool floor slope.  This project will demolish and replace the entire facility including the pool, buildings, equipment, deck, deck furniture, and fencing.

 

Summary of Public Outreach Efforts

 

The proposed design was presented to the public for comment at a meeting on March 27, 2019 with local residents and community members.  This meetings was planned and hosted by Recreation and Human Services Department staff with support from the Engineering and Transportation staff.
