RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve Amendment No. 6 to the Contractual Services Agreement with PlaceWorks for an Additional $68,151 for a Total Not to Exceed Amount of $815,119 and an Appropriation of $58,151 from the General Fund Unrestricted Fund Balance

WHEREAS, in 2014, the City Council approved a contract between the City of San Leandro and PlaceWorks to prepare General Plan 2035, which included a task to create a Qualified Greenhouse Gas Reductions Plan for 2020, based upon the adopted 2009 Climate Action Plan; and
WHEREAS, in 2016 the City of San Leandro created a Sustainability Office which after analyzing state requirements recommends that the above task be amended to update the 2009 Climate Action Plan to include targets for 2030 and 2050 as well as the addition of an Adaptation Plan; and
WHEREAS, an updated and amended agreement between the City of San Leandro and Placeworks for Task 5.3 to create a Qualified Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reductions Target and Adaptation Plan, per the revised Scope of Work and Cost Proposal for Task 5.3 (attached as Exhibit 1) was presented to this City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
• Approve Amendment No. 6 to increase the total contract amount by $68,151 to the Contractual Services Agreement with PlaceWorks for a total not to exceed amount of $815,119; and
• Approve an appropriation of $58,151 from the General Fund Unrestricted fund balance to 010-41-001-5120 for the purpose of conducting a Qualified Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Reduction Strategy; and
• Approve a transfer of $10,000 in existing appropriation in Account 687-18-005-5240 to Account 687-18-005-5120; and
• Extend the term of said agreement from June 30, 2019 to June 30, 2021 for the purpose of completing the revised Scope of Work.
And be it FURTHER RESOLVED that said amendment to the agreement, substantially in the form presented, is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
