SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that the City Council approve a resolution to enter into five (5) grant agreements with the following service providers:
* Child Abuse Listening, Interviewing, and Coordination Center (CALICO) ($22,000);
* Davis Street Family Resource Center ($42,941);
* Service Opportunities for Seniors (SOS), Inc. /Meals on Wheels ($29,000);
* Spectrum Community Services (Senior Nutrition Program) ($17,500)
* Eden Council for Hope & Opportunity Housing for fair housing services (ECHO Housing) ($10,000);
These CDBG projects noted in the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development HUD Annual Action Plan were authorized by the City Council on May 6, 2019 for the Fiscal Year 2019-2020.
BACKGROUND
For FY 2019-2020, the five agreements totaling $121,441 require City Council approval. Four of the agreements are part of the CDBG public services budget (see below). The ECHO Fair Housing Counseling Agreement is funded under the CDBG Administration budget. As a recipient of federal funds and in support of the City's goals to celebrate diversity, the City affirmatively furthers fair housing regulations by contracting with ECHO Housing to provide fair housing services.
