RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve a Consulting Services Agreement for $66,000 with Trafficware Group, Inc., to Provide System Maintenance and Support of the City's Advanced Traffic Management System Software (provides for the maintenance and support of the software that controls the City's traffic signals)

Body
WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro maintains sixty-two traffic signals that rely on the Advanced Traffic Management System software or "ATMS" to control their operation; and

WHEREAS, Trafficware Group, Inc., provides ATMS software that is compatible with the City's current system; and

WHEREAS, the City's adopted Fiber Optic Master Plan includes a Smart City Strategy that discusses Intelligent Traffic Signaling and Intersections, as well as the need to operate current ATMS software for efficient traffic operations; and

WHEREAS, a Consulting Services Agreement between the City of San Leandro and Trafficware Group, Inc., is necessary to license and operate the ATMS software and provide maintenance and support for a period of three years.

WHEREAS, a copy of said agreement has been presented to this City Council and attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, the agreement obligates the City to pay Trafficware Group, Inc., $22,000 per year for a total of $66,000 over a three year period to license and maintain the ATMS software, with said funds to be appropriated for the first two years from the City's adopted Fiscal Year 2019-20 and 2020-21 Biennial Budget and planned appropriations for the last year from the Fiscal Year 2021-22 and 2022-23 Biennial Budget; and

WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
