RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City Manager to Submit an Application to the California Energy Commission Requesting Up to $1.75 Million Dollars (at 1% Financing) for Future Implementation of Potential Energy Efficiency Projects

WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission provides loans to schools, hospitals, local governments, special districts, and public care institutions to finance energy efficiency improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows:
1. That the City Manager is authorized to apply for a 1% energy efficiency loan from the California Energy Commission to implement potential energy efficiency measures.
2. That if recommended for funding by the California Energy Commission, the City Council authorizes the City Manager to accept a loan up to $1,750,000.
3. That the City Manager (or his designee) is authorized to make approvals and take all actions necessary or appropriate to carry out and implement the intent of this Resolution.
