Title
City Project Tour
Staffreport
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The Facilities and Transportation Committee led by Staff will conduct a driving tour of the City to view completed and proposed infrastructure projects.
BACKGROUND
The City has embarked on an ambitious Capital Improvement Program with over $75 million of funded projects. A large portion of the program are street maintenance and rehabilitation projects that are funded by Measure BB and SB 1 funds. A $20 million bond issuance is programmed for the current budget cycle that will be used for projects supported by the General Fund. In addition, land developers have invested in the City's infrastructure as a result of Conditions of Approval imposed through the City's review and permit processes. Finally, partner agencies such as AC Transit are actively designing and implementing projects within the City. Collectively, these projects improve livability, access and mobility throughout the community.
