RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Non-Professional Services Agreement with Solenis, LLC, in the Amount Not to Exceed $760,000 Over Five Years for Polymer Selection and Supply Services at the Water Pollution Control Plant; And to Authorize Purchasing Up To $100,000 of Polymer from SNF Polydyne

WHEREAS, City staff sought competitive proposals for polymer selection and supply services and the Solenis, LLC proposal provides the best value and is the most advantageous to the City; and
WHEREAS, an agreement between the City and Solenis, LLC, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, was presented to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof and desires to award a contract to Solenis, LLC for polymer selection and supply services at the Water Pollution Control Plant; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the supply of functional polymer must be uninterrupted; and
WHEREAS, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of polymer and in the event that the new polymer costs more than the current polymer or service levels fail to meet expectations, it is necessary to retain the services of the current supplier, SNF Polydyne;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the City Council awards the agreement, substantially in the form presented, to Solenis, LLC in the amount not to exceed $760,000 over five years and the City Manager is authorized to execute the agreement; and
2. That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said agreement, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and
3. That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made part of this resolution.
