Title

RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Declare Twenty-Five (25) Vehicles, Twelve (12) Pieces of Equipment, and Other Miscellaneous Items as Surplus and Authorizing the Sale Thereof at Public Auction (approves the public auction of said surplus vehicles and equipment)

 

Body

WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City’s purposes; and

 

WHEREAS, twenty-five (25) vehicles, twelve (12) pieces of equipment, and other miscellaneous items were identified as no longer useful to City operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and

 

WHEREAS, the San Leandro Unified School District was contacted and it has no interest in purchasing any of the surplus vehicles or equipment; and

 

WHEREAS, proceeds from the sale of the vehicles and equipment will be returned to the Equipment Maintenance Fund.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows:

 

Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of twenty-five (25) vehicles, twelve (12) pieces of equipment, and other miscellaneous items at public auction by U.S. Auctions is scheduled for a date to be determined in January 2020.
