Title

RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council approving the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Management Organization (SLMO), and authorizing the City Manager to execute employment agreements for Police Chief and Assistant City Manager with no salary increase in the current fiscal year 2020-2021.

 

Body

WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was reached between the negotiators for the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Management Organization (SLMO) for the period July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, an employment agreement between the City of San Leandro and Jeffrey Tudor as Police Chief was negotiated for the period January 31, 2020 through December 31, 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, an employment agreement between the City of San Leandro and Elizabeth Warmerdam, as Assistant City Manager was negotiated for the period September 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022; and

 

WHEREAS, the MOU, employment agreements, and attached salary schedules, have been presented to this City Council; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreements.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

 

1.                     That said MOU, agreements and attached salary schedules are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and

 

2.                     That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantive revisions to the said MOU and agreements, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney; and

 

3.                     That original executed agreements shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
