SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement for payments to Sirsidynix of $93,647.51 in Fiscal Year 2021-2022 and $93,647.51 plus up to a 10% increase in Fiscal Year 2022-2023 for renewal of the Sirsidynix software for use at the Library Department.
BACKGROUND
The City of San Leandro has maintained an annual subscription contract with Sirsidynix for its Library Information System (LIS) since 2005 and has been satisfied with their service.
Analysis
The City of San Leandro subscribes to the Sirsidynix Library Information System, which is hosted by Sirsidynix and delivered over the Internet. This Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system provides all of the core applications required to maintain the Library Department's operations, such as: inventory management; account management, self-check-out, online content, and more.
The City is charged annually through a subscription to the various systems. In addition, the vendor provides software updates and technical support. This annual renewal covers all the licenses needed by Staff to fully use the software.

The City Attorney's office reviewed and approved the agreements as to form.
Fiscal Impacts
The total annual software and maintenance cost for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 is $93,647.51. Fiscal Year 2022-2023 is expected to be $93,647.51 plus up to a 10% increase. This project requires no additional funding to cover its costs.
