RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a $170,000 Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE-21) grant Agreement with the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways for Abatement of Surrendered and Abandoned Watercraft at the San Leandro Marina and the San Leandro Shoreline

WHEREAS, the SAVE-21 grant program is designed to remove, reduce, and prevent abandoned recreational vessels before they happen; and
WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways was presented to this City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
1. An appropriation by the City Council for $170,000 from the Shoreline Fund (597-57-177) was established and will be replenished by grant proceeds; and
2. Said agreement in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager, or her designee, of this agreement and all other agreements and contracts necessary to effect this resolution is hereby authorized; and
3. An original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
