The Disaster Council conducted this meeting in accordance with the State Emergency Services Act, the Governor’s Emergency Declaration related to COVID-19, and the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 issued on March 17, 2020.

1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m.

2.A. City of San Leandro response to COVID-19
• San Leandro City Council
Mayor Cutter shared information on
• The development of a possible Wildland JPA with multiple jurisdictions in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties
• Bayfair Mall may have new owners and need to discuss with them recommending using them as a cooling center.
• The Council will be looking into how to transition to focus on other emergency management issues beyond COVID.

• Senior Center - HVAC at 50% - doing a CIP - backlog with supply issues.
• City cable channel is being worked on.
San Leandro Emergency Services
• Within the city, there have been 16,682 cases, 81,021 are partially vaccinated (91%), 76,497 are fully vaccinated (86%), and 65% have received a booster.
• Catrina has completed the Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMG) in order to hire a contractor to write the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP)
• Assisting the Library with a fire drill and PW with development of Department Operations Center (DOC) to be used during an EOC activation.
• The City received a grant from ALCO OES for installing emergency generator hook-ups at MCC.
• The Adverse Weather Annex is nearing completion and will be available for peer review.
• PSPS events could still occur, though PG&E notified the City that do to system upgrades, the impact will be minimal, and the generator will not be located at the main library this summer, though the hook-ups will remain
