SUMMARY

 

On February 14, 2023, the City Council help a public meeting to review the first reading of an Ordinance to extend the City’s Residential Eviction Moratorium to February 28, 2024. By a 4-3 vote, the City Council approved the Ordinance and to include staff reporting to the Council every 90 days (on updated landlord and tenant impact data and leveraging public/private funding for tenant/landlord assistance services) and to require landlords to report to the City of San Leandro when a tenant has notified the landlord and submitted documentation per Section 1.E. of the Ordinance.
